As we continue to work towards the merge and get closer to finalizing the merging steps, we wanted to clarify some important details in advance:

What happens to my current balance and transaction history?
Rest assured, your current balance, assets, and complete transaction history will be securely transferred to Bitbuy.

Are my assets and funds safe during the transfer?
The security and safety of your assets are our utmost priority. The transition will be managed with rigorous security protocols ensuring the integrity of your funds.

How does Bitbuy’s security compare to CoinSmart's?
Bitbuy utilizes state-of-the-art security measures, comparable to CoinSmart's high standards. Your assets will remain safeguarded.

Will I need to undergo another KYC (Know Your Customer) process?
Your verified status from CoinSmart will be honoured on Bitbuy.

Do I need to download a new application or will my current CoinSmart app be automatically updated to Bitbuy?
If you're using the CoinSmart mobile application, please stay tuned for instructions on transitioning to the Bitbuy app.

How does Bitbuy's user interface compare to CoinSmart? Will there be tutorials or guides?
Bitbuy's user interface is intuitive, and there is a robust Help Centre if you need any assistance along the way.

How are the fee structures different? Are Bitbuy’s fees higher or lower on average?
While you can view Bitbuy’s complete fee schedule here, know that we've worked to ensure competitive rates in line with industry standards.

What if I have open trades or orders on CoinSmart during the transition?
Any open CoinSmart orders will be cancelled with the move to Bitbuy.

How will customer support change? Will I still be able to get assistance in the same way?
Customer support remains a cornerstone of our service. You can reach out to Bitbuy’s dedicated support team in the same manner you did with CoinSmart.

What will be my login credentials with Bitbuy and will my 2FA remain the same?
Your username and 2FA method will remain the same! Your password, however, will be reset, and you’ll receive an email with a link to create a new password.

Will my crypto deposit wallet addresses change or remain the same?
All cryptocurrency wallets from your CoinSmart account will no longer be active once the merge is completed. Please do NOT save your CoinSmart wallet address.

What if I already have a Bitbuy account?
If you already have a Bitbuy account, you'll soon have two: your original, and the one migrated from CoinSmart. When you enter your email address to log into Bitbuy, you’ll be able to specify which account (the original Bitbuy or the CoinSmart-originating) you’d like to log into. For the interim, these accounts will be kept separate, but stay tuned for information on merging them into one.

What happens if I do not want a Bitbuy account?
If you do not wish to have an account with Bitbuy, we suggest you close your CoinSmart account prior to the merging date of October 1, 2023.

Does Bitbuy offer more products than CoinSmart?
Yes! Bitbuy offers a lot more coins and features such as Staking and a Pro Trading platform.
